Learning Objectives
The overall goal of this course is focused on providing advanced knowledge related to Innervation ultrasound advanced techniques for needle guidance and diagnostics with a focus on anatomy.
After attending this course, participants will be able to:
Peripheral Nerve Stimulation Overview Focused on Anatomy and Mechanisms of Action, History and Lessons Learned, Peripheral nerve injuries and its diagnosis. Correlation between MRI and ultrasound., Controversies in Peripheral Nerve Stimulation, Peripheral Nerve Stimulation Best Practices. All lectures will be provided virtually a minimum of 2 weeks before “live” course on October 10th.
The “live” course on October 10th will include: Ultrasound of PNS Targets (live model): participants will practice individually to achieve necessary competence, Implantation Technique (cadaver): participants will be instructed to perform implantations
Demonstrate and Train the Following Peripheral Nerve Implant Location Techniques
Ulnar, Median, Radial, Supra Scapular, Axillary, Intercostal, Ilioinguinal, Lateral Femoral Cutaneous, Pudendal, Saphenous, Tibial, Sural, Superficial Peroneal, Common Peroneal, Sciatic, Femoral, Occipital , Genicular and the Cluneal Nerve.
